If you are interested in learning to fly RC planes, contact us and we will arrange for a free introductory lesson, including equipment.
We are a small cub of less than 20 members. You can usually find us out at the field on nice days with no wind, or if you like to get up early, you can watch our electric flyers out at Canyon Lake before the wind comes up |
Good things to know:If you intend to fly a radio controlled aircraft, you must be registered and have a UAS certificate with you and your number on your aircraft. It is also a great idea to put your name, address and AMA number in your aircraft along with your UAS registration. Our club requires all members to also be members of the AMA |

The plane in the video at the left is built from Owens-Corning 1/4 inch foam insulation. Air frame and on-board hardware can be obtained very economically, and in case of a crash, which will happen, the hardware can be moved to another plane and used again. | ||
Any nice day out at the field you might find some of our club members flying large gas powered planes that gracefully cut through the sky, or hang almost motionless on their props, or shoot past like a speeding bullet. Earlier in the day you are likely to see some of our club members with home build electric cargo planes doing parachute drops, or towing gliders high into the sky. If you are lucky, you may catch one of our expert pilots testing new planes and getting them flight worthy for other members of the club. |
